Nicole King, 14, of Katy, Texas was sitting in the rear passenger seat in the Toyota at the time of the automobile wreck.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other passengers of the Toyota were Life Flighted for medical treatment.

The wreck happened on Highway 6.  Kearston Schoeder was arrested for DWI.  The injured garbage truck worker was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

Debbie Fuentes, 57, was the vice president of Health Clams for American National.  She had been with the company for 33 years.  Her husband, Jose Fuentes, was seriously injured and is being treated at UTMB.

Officer Edward Pean suffered injuries including facial lacerations.  He required treatment at Mainland Medical Center.  As a result of the automobile collision, there was significant damage to the police cruiser, and it will likely be totalled.
